Got this from my buddy, TenzanTeam2K. Putting these here cause it says so in the last question.

001. Reply with your name and I'll respond with something random about you.
002. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
003. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and I.
004. I'll tell you my first memory of you.
005. I'll tell you what animal of which you remind me.
006. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
007. If I do this for you, you must post this on your journal. Seriously

Got this off my buddy TenzanTeam2K's LJ. Honestly didn't think I'd do this good, but an A is an A anyway you get it.

You scored 80% in wrestlingosity, brother!
A great job, no doubt about it.... in fact, one of the best ever! Just... not quite what it takes to make it to that next level, as Triple H might say.

Still, a pretty spectacular performance and definitely one to feel good about, if not One of a Kind.

Congratulations! (If you enjoyed taking the test, please remember to rate it. :)

Fantasy never Final

Watched the highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children movie on Saturday night with Trish. First thing off the bat was that the 3D graphics they used were INCREDIBLE. If you've ever played the game before, it's like watching a LONG extended cut scene, and you do find yourself thinking "When does the game start?" sometimes. There were alot of really well done action scenes in the movie as well.
The only thing I didn't get was the bizzaro plot of the movie. It supposed to have taken place 2 years after the game, but I never played the game so I didn't get it either. And the subs in broken english didn't help much either.
Fan boys everywhere are praising how good this movie was, and I'll agree that the fans will salivate all over it, but some of us who never played the game before (yes, we do exist) could find it a bit confusing since they also never really recapped some of the event leading up to this. Still, highly recommended to watch for the graphics and great battles scenes alone.
Maybe Square-Enix could come out with a Final Fantasy VII rehash on PS2?

Other business, I've posted my review of the AJPW Heavy Fighting in Yoyogi 7/26/05 show. Check it out and catch ya'z later.

Eye-ore

My eyes hurt, and it's not due to lack of sleep. On Tuesday I decide to give this big sexay frame of mine some exercise, so I brought Trish to the big park near her place and we were going to walk around it a bit to stretch my legs. I don't get 10 feet and blam! Something flies into my left eye! Had no idea what it was, but it hurt like a sumbitch for the whole evening after that even after washing out my eye. Thankfully it got better the next day as whatever it was that flew in was probably absorbed into my system.

Than, last night me and Trish went to watch Shark Boy & Lava Girl at the cineplex. The movie was in 3D and required the audience to use 3D glasses to view it. It was ok at first, but after the first glasses intermission, when they asked you to put your glasses on again my eyes just couldn't adjust to the red/blue color scheme, so now they are a bit sore.
The movie was just ok though, and I would have preffered seeing it in none 3D. Definately a kids movie since alot of the humor and such were like watching an American made saturday morning cartoon.

Into the Fire Pro R!!!

I got my hands on the FIRST copy of Fire Pro Wrestling Returns today! It just reached the shop when I got there and I grabbed the first copy when they unpacked it! First impressions are good as the game looks awesome with a TON of wrestlers to choose from. Going to waste my weekend playing this, even if I do have a sore arm.

How did a bust my arm? I went bowling yesterday! I haven't bowled in over two years, and now I suck big time at it! I was playing worse than the amateurs next to me. So now my right hand is swollen, my arm is sprained, and so are my legs. God I need to be more active. I was planning on going bowling everyweek to get some exercise, and it looks like I'm really going to need it.

But for now, I'm going back to playing FPR! See yaz!

Full House

See what you can get done with the right inspiration and enough free time on your hands? I've got updates in every corner of the blog today, and it's only 3PM! First off, posted some puroresu news as NOAH have just announced the full card for next weekend's big show at the Budokan. The show will be a make or break event for current GHC champion Takeshi Rikioh who's had a very lackluster title reign up till now.
Next up, I've got another puroresu show review up. This time for Osaka Pro Wrestling's Osaka Holiday Paradise 4/29/2005 show. Fun show as the little indy from Osaka embark on a new era of the company.
Also posted finally is a new PS2 game review for Darkwatch, An FPS horror game set in the wild west and a short CD review of the new album by Mindless Self Indulgence - You'll Rebel To Anything. Check 'em out and enjoy.

Big Egg done, ton more to go!

Finally got done watching the final volume of the All Japan Women's Big Egg Wrestling Universe show this past weekend. It was a great end to a great show that had two awesome standout bouts both from the V*TOP Tournament. Check out my review and let me know what you think.

In addition to catching up on my Puro DVD collection, I also got around to watching some of America indy shows I've been getting off the internet. First there was the Combat Zone Wrestling Tournament of Death 4. This was one brutal event featuring a one night death match tournament to crown the new Tournament of Death Champion. There were alot of seriously SICK spots in this one, and some serious injuries were to be had like Blood getting his leg torn open to the point you could see the BONE inside! And probably one of the most dangerous spots in recent memory when Nick Gage caught on fire when suplexing Zanding through a flaming barb-wire, glass pane pit! It was a scary moment, and even the camera man dropped his camera to get a fire extinguisher to help put out the flames. Lucky for Gage he was wearing a shirt, but Zandig WASN'T and he temporarilly caught fire himself! This whole show is definately not for the weak hearted.

I also managed to finish getting through day 1 of the CHIKARA Tag World Grand Prix tournament, and by the end of it I never thought I'd ever hear myself use the name "Ebessan" in the same sentence as "FOUR STAR MATCH"!!! Can't wait to get through the rest of the tournament now!

Back to the Big Egg

I've been catching up on my Puroresu DVDs lately and am now continuing with trimming down the numbers this weekend. Getting back on track, I got around to watching Vol.3 of the AJW Big Egg Wrestling Universe show and have posted up the review for your reading pleasure. It's been a while since I reviewed the first 2 volumes, but better late than never right?

Japanese version musta been better...

Me and Trish went to the movie Dark Water last night. This was based on the Japanese movie of the same name much like Ju-On and The Ring were translated to American versions. I've been told by friends who watched the original that it was really scary and creepy due to the atmoshere, I wouldn't doubt that since Japanese horror movies tend to be scary easilly (Just watch the original Ju-On). But this American version of Dark Water just didn't quite do it for me. And from the very beginning of the movie I more or less guessed everything out which turned out to be spot on. Save for the final ending bit which sorta caught me off guard. It was OK, but I've seen better quite frankly.

Jumping back in my memory a bit, on Sunday I accompanied Trish to a wedding dinner of one of her colleagues. I really didn't know the guy or anyone there other than Trish's co-workers, but what the heck, a free catered meal.

Doi on Second

Triming down the numbers of my puroresu DVDs, I watched the Dragon Gate "Open the Brave Gate" title tournament and posted the review up for your reading pleasure. This was the show where Dragon Gate held a one night tournament to crown the first Brave Gate champion, which is a mid-card title second to the Dream Gate title.
Now only a dozen more DVDs to go...

Barb Wire and Big Laughs

Had a weird day yesterday as all of a sudden my body felt like it just wanted to shut down. I had know idea what was wrong either as I just wanted to close my eyes and doze off. I knew it wasn't normal either as my body felt like shivering, yet I wasn't cold. So I SMS'd Trish and asked her what she thought might be wrong, and after checking with her seniors at the pharmacy, guessed I might have a mineral deficiancy problem. What?!? I didn't get it either. I took the rest of the afternoon off work, got home and just dozed off. Trish had recommended my to take Oral Rehydration Salt, but I was too tired and my head was feeling light so I came straight home and told my mom to pick some up for me on her way home from work. Needless to say I couldn't go out with Trish yesterday either. But at least I'm feeling stronger today.

Posted my review of the Chigusa Nagayo Produced show. It was a fun show where the girls mixed it up with the guys in mixed matches, as well as some straight out comedy matches and top off with a great death match main event!
I also used the review to debut my new "entertainment" rating system for matches that might have sucked work rate-wise, but was still entertaining in other aspects. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Git-R-Done!

Ok, so this will be my last post for today.

Hope everyone had a safe and fun Merdeka Day yesterday, cause I sure as hell know one guy who was probably the luckiest man in town yesterday. I read in the newspapers this morning that this businessman was sitting down at a coffee shop chatting with a friend yesterday when suddenly this car stops in front of them and this guy with a sawn off shotgun gets out and looked to make an assasination attempt on the guy, but his gun wouldn't go off! The businessman runs in fear and the gunman chases him for about 10 meters where the businessman trips and the gunman has him at point blank range. He takes aim and pulls the trigger but nothing happens! Seeing the opportunity, the businessman wrestles the gun away from his would be assailant and the failed hitman makes a run for it. Talk about dumb criminals. If that would be hitman was a pro, he would have been smart enough to check his equipment before carrying out the hit. And the businessman was indeed one lucky sum'bitch.

Back to the Merdeka Day topic, I noticed my newly christened city hometown had ZERO in the way of a Merdeka Day celebrations save for a parade at the sports stadium yesterday. I was expecting somekind of big count down shin-dig at the City Fan Park like they usually do, but there was nada, zippo, nothing! I get the feeling they blew most of the budget on the City Day celebrations several months back.

So what did I do for Merdeka Day? Well, Trish was working, so I lazed at home and watched a DVD of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. This was one of the most HILARIOUS shows I'd EVER seen! It was basically a taping of the final stop on a comedy tour featuring four of the funniest redneck comedians in America: Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Ron White and Larry the Cable Guy. Larry the Cable Guy was the main reason I bought this show after seeing him on Jay Leno a few months back, and he was definately one of the highlights of the night! The topic of this post, Git-R-Done (redneck slang for "Get her done"), is his catchphrase, and the man has some of the most hilarious redneck jokes you'll ever hear, as the man is the living defination of redneck! I was literally in stitches laughing my head off the whole show and I highly, HIGHLY recommend this to anyone looking for a good laugh. Git-R-Done!

Good TV

Continuing from where I left off in my last post.

Basically once I got back from Singapore my condition relapsed and I had to miss almost a whole week of work, which has it's pros and cons. Pros being that I got to skimp off work, cons being that there was renovation work going on in my house (again!) and I had to help keep an eye on the workers even though my health was poor.

It wasn't all bad though. There's alot of good TV on now that's worth watching. Like Wonder Falls, fun series about this girl who has to do things against her will cause toy animals talk to her and asking her to do them. She thinks she's going crazy, but things normally work out for the best in the end. Definately fun show that I'll try to follow everyweek.
Another one is House. About this over sarcastic doctor who way smarter than he looks and acts, and is almost always right. He'd usually just take a look at someone and can tell what's wrong with them. And the main point of the series is that he usually gets all the odd cases that take some digging to figure out whats wrong with the patient. There's alot of fun in both these shows and again I highly recommend watching if you don't already.

I was also lucky enough to catch Godzilla Final Wars on one of the chinese movie channels. This was of course said to be the very last Japanese Godzilla movie that will be made, and it turned out to be possibly the BEST Godzilla movie ever! They actually managed to sneak in a sci-fi action flick into a Godzilla movie. Highly recommended if your a Godzilla fan as you get to see the big G kick giant monster ass all over the planet, including the showdown between him and the American incarnation of Godzilla!

Even more to come later if I can get to it.

Catching Up

Well, I guess it was about darn time I updated this thing. I'll start with my Singapore vacation way back in mid August:

8/17/2005 - Navigation Over the Causeway
Surprisingly, our Air Asia flight took off and arrived on time at Johor. Me and Trish than took a cab with my brother to the Causeway, which was the border to Singapore. My parents would be spending the night in Johor while we went up ahead since me and Trish would be staying with my bro.
By the time we got past customs and finally made it to my bro's apartment, it was already about 8pm. I was rather surprised at the state my bro's apartment was in as it was a total mess with action figures, magazines and other stuff all over the place. No offence, bro, but even my place in KL when I was staying there wasn't this bad. We rested for a while before heading out again for dinner at a near by mall and then looked around a bit after a round of Big Macs at McDonalds. The first thing I bought was this souvenier shooter glass that had all the weird fines you could get penalized for in Singapore. We then went back to my bro's place and cleaned it up a bit since me and Trish would be sleeping in the living room on the couch and an extra mattress my bro had. I think we finally managed to catch some shut eye around after midnight, but that was the worse night's sleep I had since the sofa was darn uncomfortable.

8/18/2005 - Encountering Sore Feet
We did alot of walking on this day as my brother showed us around some of the lesser known parts of Singapore as we searched for stuff we were looking for. Of course by the end of the day I had sore feet and both my legs were shot due to my lack of intestinal fortitude and exercise. Guess I didn't prepare as much as I thought the past few weeks leading up to the trip. But by the end of the day I did find a few interesting places to check back at later to get some stuff like CDs and DVDs. There was a CD shop having stock clearance sale where just about everything was going for SGD9.90! I picked up the GTA: Vice City Rock soundtrack as well as Static-X's Beneath, Between, Beyond CD. We had dinner with my parents that evening before heading back to my bro's place to rest up again for the next day as me and Trish would be going solo sightseeing. Again, I didn't have a good sleep that night, but it was better than the previous evening at least.

8/19/2005 - Great Voyage
So after a late start in the morning, me and Trish had lunch first at McDonalds before taking the long MRT ride to the port to catch a gondola to Sentosa Island. The train ride was long, but the queue at the gondola centre was just as long and it took awhile before we finally got our tickets to ride. The gondola ride was a bit freaky as you were up in the air with nothing but the suspension cables holding us up as it made it's way to Sentosa. We got a great view of the city as well as the Star Cruise ship below us. We get to Sentosa and the first thing we do is hit the restrooms to relieve ourselves. We then headed to the bus stop to line up to catch a bus to Underwater World. This was really the only attraction the two of us wanted to see here after hearing alot about it over the years.
So eventually a bus shows up and we pack in together with a whole lot of other tourists and we get to the Underwater World where we get our tickets to enter, and it also entitles us to watch the pink dolphin show later at the beach. As soon as we get to the entrance, the first thing we see is this huge sting rays in the pool outside. There were quite a few of them too. And we saw some huge sea turtles in the pool next too it. I'd only seen live sea turtles that big in person once when I was offshore and one just happened to pop out of the water to catch a breath of air. Here we could see them go all over the place as well as a few sleeping on the bottom.
We then entered the facility and the first thing that caught our eye in the lobby was the petting pool where you could touch small rays, star fish, puffer fish and nurse sharks. And moving in, we saw a lot of interesting fish from those prehistoric squids with the shells on their backs to the giant arapaima fish. There were even these cool artic fish called sea angels, and these thing really did look like small angels flying around as they flapped their "wings". Odd thing is they had devil horns on their heads. One nice surprise at the end of it was the baby dugong they had. I had never seen one in person before and this was a nice treat. It was also rather funny when this big fish decided to stop and rest in the patch of kelp/grass the dugong was feeding on. Fun time indeed and I got a lot of pictures of the place.
Before exiting the facility, we made a stop at the gift shop on the way out for Trish to get some souveniers for her family back home. My legs were starting to give out again, so I went out first and waited for her outside. Problem is, this school full of dumbass kids also picked this day to have a field trip, so they were all over the place yacking it up and showing that they really are dumbasses as they deliberately stood in front of the exit way oblivious to the fact they were blocking people's way.
So after Trish was done gift shopping, we caught the next bus to the dolphin lagoon to catch the pink dolphin show. It was nothing really special and bordered on being total crap actually. If you've seen one of these shows on TV, you've seen them all. And yes, the dolphins actually had a shade of pink to their skin colors.
When that was done, we had to catch two different busses back to the gondola centre to catch a ride back to the mainland, and when we got there we had to catch a train to meet up with my brother in town since we were going to meet my parents and have dinner with them to celebrate my dad's birthday on that day. I wasn't feeling all to well at that point, and had been feeling pretty bad health wise for most of the day actually. Maybe it was something in the air during the gondola ride?
Anyways, we had dinner at this chinese restaurant near the hotel my parents were staying at and the service was rather terrible. They even totally forgot one of the orders we made, which was fine with us since we had already eaten everything else and was less than satisfactory. I wasn't feeling all that much better either. So me, Trish and my bro caught the MRT back to his place and I got doped up on all kinds of drugs we had gotten from the pharmacy for my headache, cough and flu I developing. Another day, another bad night's sleep made worse by my condition. Thank God Trish came along and has knowledge on the proper types of medication I was taking. I love that woman and God bless her for putting up with me.

8/20/2005 - Navigation with AOPW
I still was feeling all that well that morning, and I was scheduled to meet up with some of the AOPW forumers that day. The previous night my bro chatted with them and told them I might be in no condition to go out that day so he invited them over to his place to visit instead. It was Rix and lm_jl who turned up and we ordered pizza while they brought a big takeaway from KFC. We talked alot about the current scene in wrestling, as well as lm_jl's and my bro's shared passion for collecting action figures and such. It was great meeting those guys, and it's good to know I have friends in Singapore now with the same shared interests as myself.
I was feeling better that afternoon, and after we said our good byes with Rix & lm_jl, we headed out again to do some last minute shopping. I picked up the Rammstein "Lichspielhaus" DVD and the Nirvana Nevermind Classic Albums DVD as well as the Nevermind CD. I've been wanting to get that one for a long time now. My bro also met up with a friend of his to pick up his Marvel Legends Series 2 action figures set he helped him to buy. Ironic that on the day I help my bro to bring some of his stuff back home to Miri, he goes and gets a big batch of them to replace whats being sent back.
We get back that evening and have dinner at a small Japanese restaurant at the mall near his place before heading back to his place to rest up a bit. We than lugged our stuff down to the taxi stand and me and Trish headed off to the Causeway as we were heading back to Johor where we would be spending the night since we had to catch our flight the next day there. My parents had already checked in there earlier that day and booked a room for us. When we got to the hotel and to our room, we just relaxed together for the rest of the evening as I still wasn't 100% yet, but save for waking up in the middle of the night with a terrible case of the shivers, it was the best night's sleep I had the whole trip. The hotel room was actually pretty crappy though, even if it was a budget hotel.

8/21/2005 - Departure
Me and Trish got up rather late cause God knows we needed a good rest after the past few days. We met my bro who had come over from S'pore to see us all off and we had breakfast with my mom. We then had about an hour left so we headed back to our room to rest up a bit more and repack our stuff as I had to accommodate some of the extra stuff my bro wanted us to bring back for him. We all met in the lobby later and got us a cab to the airport. Luckilly we only needed one. We said our goodbyes with my bro and headed off to the Johor airport. Being that it was Air Asia, we had to check in 2 hours early, so we really had time to kill at the airport, but at least the plane took off on schedule again and landed on time. We actually got arrived early. Trish's dad was there to pick her up and we went our seperate ways from there as me and my parents went our way home thus ending our Singapore vacation.

Our next vacation is slated for December where we'll either be going to Singapore again, or Kuala Lumpur. Hopefully, Trish can come along again as it was really fun spending extended amounts of time with someone you love and hold dear to you.
